Our Stories 

Courtesy of the GFWC Brown Deer Junior Woman's Club,  there is now a new Little Library in Village Park!  It was dreamed up and built by one of our members and her husband, with decorating assistance from other club members.   It was designed to be a replica of the Little White Schoolhouse and was erected in August 2021.  We thank the BD Historical Society, the Park & Rec Department and the DPW for their assistance erecting the Little Library at Village Park.  

The Little White Schoolhouse Little Library has been registered on the national registry of Little Free Libraries.  BD Juniors will be donating books and maintaining the Little Library for all to use.  If you are at the park and forgot your book, borrow one from the Little Library.  We will be encouraging the 3Rs--Read, Return, Repeat!

This club project was inspired to support GFWC Advocates for Children Week in October.  We hope to schedule a dedication ceremony during that time.  Watch our Home Page for details about this event.
